The main celebration is Feria Real de Algeciras, born from the livestock fair documented since 1850 and declared of Tourist Interest in Andalusia. The main places are the Fairgrounds, the Las Palomas Monumental Bullring, the María Cristina Park and Virgen del Carmen Avenue during the parade.
Its traditions include proclamation and coronation of queens, announcing parade, lighting of the fair, booths, horse ride through Volantes and Farolillos streets, Rocera mass, bullfighting fair, exhibition of red cattle and fireworks. The City Council and the Fair and Festival Delegation, horsemen's clubs, cassette players, ranchers, bands, associations, neighbors and visitors participate.
El 2026 annual programme begins with the 175th Livestock Fair on Friday 12 June; The proclamation is held on the 19th, the parade and lighting on the 20th and the fair continues until the fireworks on Saturday. 27 June. The main week is from the 20th to the 27th and lasts eight days, while the previous events extend the calendar. The programme also identifies 24 June as a local holiday.
