Fair of San Antonio and Virgen de los Remedios
La San Antonio Fair and Festivals It is the big event in June in Chiclana. Among its traditions, it preserves, from its livestock origins, the horse riding and hitchhiking through the Real, while booths, Sevillians, lighting, concerts and fine local wines define the festive coexistence. The City Council, cassette players, wineries, fairgrounds, clubs, associations, horsemen and families participate.
The edition of 2026 se celebró from 10 June to 14, five days long, with inauguration at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Its main places were Las Albinas del Torno fairgrounds, which housed the booths and the horse ride, and the spaces for complementary events. Sunday included Children's Day, a noise-free section for people with hearing sensitivity, and closing fireworks.
The traditional calendar continues on 8 September with the patron saint, Our Lady of Remedies. The services and procession have as reference the parish of the Holy Trinity, known as San Telmo, and the streets of the centre. Brotherhood, parish, authorities and neighbors participate in this religious celebration, which is independent of the five days of the Fair.
Los 2026 local public holidays, unskilled, paid and non-recoverable, are the 12 June, Fair Friday, and the 8 September, festival of the patron saint. The labour declaration is limited to those dates and not to the entire holiday period.
