Las Popular festivals in Albolote They honour the Christ of Health and are usually celebrated during the first week that contains days of August. The traditional duration is four days, from Thursday to Sunday. The main places are the Plaza de España, with the Town Hall and the church as the background for the proclamation, the municipal booth and the fair spaces where the day fair is concentrated.
Traditions include the proclamation, services and the night procession of the Cristo de la Salud on Saturday, along with gastronomic contests, popular meals, children's activities, sports and musical performances. The municipal corporation, the Brotherhood, associations, catering businesses, neighbors and visitors participate. The local calendar also includes Candelaria in Sierra Elvira and the San Isidro de El Chaparral festivities, with a pilgrimage to the Los Pinos area.
