May Fair and Virgin of Grace

The Carmona Fair preserves its documented livestock origins from the 15th century, although today coexistence in the booths is its centre. Its traditions include lighting, horse riding and horse riding, the booth-exorno contest, flamenco performances and closing fireworks. The City Council, cassette players, the Peña La Giraldilla, associations, fairgrounds, bands and solidarity entities participate.

En 2026, the date of the Fair was from 13 May to 17, five days long, in the Royal Fair. The other employer reference is the Virgen de Gracia, on 8 September. The usual celebration combines worship and a procession through the historic centre, with the church of Santa María and the surroundings of the patron saint as central places. The Brotherhood of the Virgin of Grace, parishes, associations and neighbors participate. This stable tradition differs from the specific programme of the May Fair.
