El Abrazo Fair and patron saint festivities

La Rinconada articulates its festive calendar around San José, Holy Week, El Abrazo Fair and the festival of the Virgin of Sorrows in September. The fair takes place at the El Abrazo site and brings together booths, attractions, music, dance and neighbourhood coexistence. The Major Festival Area, cassette players, dance schools, associations, brotherhoods, security forces, Civil Protection and the public from the different centres of the municipality participate.

2026 edition: The municipal sign set the dates of the El Abrazo Fair of the 4 June to 7, with an official duration of cuatro días. The lighting and the first Sevillana inaugurated the venue on the night of Wednesday the 3rd; The programming continued until Sunday the 7th. Among the documented events were the sevillanas of Amigos de Gines with the Alberto El Romero Dance School, the first Sevillanas Competition in the Municipal Booth and measures for an inclusive fair. The City Council enabled eight free shuttle lines and coordinated the device with the Local Police, Civil Guard, 112, Civil Protection and health personnel.

Local public holidays in 2026: The BOJA establishes for La Rinconada the 19 March, festival of San José, and the 15 September. These two non-working days are different from the four days of the El Abrazo Fair.
