Date and duration of the 2026 edition. The festivities of San Joanak were held in Hernani del 23 June to 27, five days, with a municipal programme of 79 activities. 24 June was the main day of San Juan. The beginning was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Hernani akelarre and the 20th anniversary of the Kontrakantxa gaztetxe, whose representatives launched the txupinazo by decision of the Festival Commission.
Places, events and traditions. Gudarien plaza, Atsegindegi, Urbieta and the streets of the centre hosted concerts, pilgrimages, brass bands and family activities. Local music was present through the three Hernani choirs, the Musika Banda, txistularis, dultzainas and Hernani Musika Eskola. The programme continued the eve with the akelarre and the bonfire, the dance, the kalejiras, the fire bull on the 24th and 27th and a pyrotechnic show by Lekittoko Deabruak at the end.
Participación. The City Council, the Festival Commission, San Joan Konpartsa, the txosnas commission, associations and cultural groups articulate a community programming. In 2026, children's shows, the park and the txu-txu train were reinforced; In addition, the programme identified the events with fireworks and reserved an inclusive area at the beginning of the festivities.
