The patron saint festivities of Hondarribia and the Virgin of Guadalupe se celebran oficialmente from 6 September to 11, with a usual duration of six days. Streets and squares of the city, San Pedro Street, Benta, Alameda, the parish and the hermitage of Guadalupe host nearly a hundred cultural, sports, children's and musical proposals organised by the City Council in collaboration with local associations and agents.
El 8 September The renewal of the vow to the Virgin of Guadalupe takes place in the hermitage and the Alarde, one of the most recognisable expressions of intangible heritage in the city. The Arrantzale Eguna on the 10th brings together groups dressed in blue and white: it begins with the mass for the dead in the parish and continues with txaranga, sokamuturra on San Pedro street and concerts in Benta. The Baserritar Eguna The festivities close on the 11th with a farmers' market in Alameda, livestock competition, rural Basque sports and fireworks. The municipal Corporation, companies, crews, baserritarras, musicians, families and visitors also participate. These dates and traditions describe the usual celebration; They do not replace a detailed programme for the 2026 edition.
