Local festivals of Candelaria

The most representative celebration of the municipality is the Festivities in honour of Our Lady of Candelaria, General Patroness of the Canary Archipelago. The City Council explains that the Virgin celebrates her festival on 2 February and the 15 August, and that the August festivities have a popular and massive character.
