Las Festivals in San Juan y San Pedro They occupy the second half of June and link the day of San Juan, 24 June, with San Pedro, on the 29th. In 2026 the municipal agenda was developed from 18 June to 29, twelve days, and the proclamation by Rodrigo Cuevas opened the central events on the 20th. The Plaza de San Marcelo, the Plaza Mayor, the esplanade of the Pendones Leoneses, the San Francisco park, the historic centre, the neighbourhoods and the Fairgrounds distribute the activities.

The night of San Juan preserves the bonfire as a central element. Giants and big heads, parades, regional dances, concerts, children's activities, native games and sports competitions are added. In 2026, the Craft Fair brought together 31 workshops, while the programme incorporated a popular meal in the San Francisco park and performances in different urban settings. En otoño, San Froilán It brings together Leonese traditions other than the summer festivals: banners, decorated cars, dances and the pilgrimage linked to the Virgen del Camino. Its central date is 5 October and it has its own programming, so it is not part of the duration of San Juan and San Pedro.

Los local public holidays in León in 2026 son el 24 June, San Juan, and the 5 October, San Froilán. The resolution published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León declares them unfit for work, paid and non-recoverable. Only those dates have a local work nature; the festive programme lasts more days.
