Local festivals of San Andrés del Rabanedo

The municipality distributes its celebrations between San Andrés del Rabanedo, Trobajo del Camino, Ferral del Bernesga and Villabalter. The festivities of Corpus Christi They are the main event in the centre of San Andrés, while each town maintains its own festive calendar.

• Date and duration: In 2026, the Corpus de San Andrés festivities were celebrated from 5 June to 7. Trobajo del Camino celebrates Santiago Apóstol around 25 July; Villabalter, the Asunción around 15 August; and Ferral del Bernesga has been moving its Saint Thomas festivities from winter to July for years.
• Usual places: the church and the streets of the processional route of San Andrés, squares, parks, sports venues and neighbourhood spaces in each nucleus. In Trobajo, the Parque de la Era also hosts fairs and municipal activities.
• Traditions: Corpus Christi combines mass and procession with festivals, music, regional dance, sports activities and children's games. The festivals of the other centres incorporate religious events dedicated to their patrons, clubs, family activities and neighbourhood gatherings.
• Participación: The City Council, neighbourhood councils, parishes, associations, clubs, sports clubs, cultural groups and neighbors participate. The organisation and specific schedules depend on the annual programme of each location.
• Local public holidays in 2026: The resolution of the Territorial Labour Office of León establishes for the entire municipality the 24 June and the 5 October. They should not be confused with the duration of the Corpus festivities or with the celebrations specific to each nucleus.
