The main festivals of Villares de la Reina are celebrated in honour of the Santísimo Sacramento, around Corpus Christi. The calendar is completed with San Silvestre, patron saint of the municipality, and with the End of Summer festivities organised by the municipal area of Celebrations.

  • Date and duration: The Corpus Christi festivities form a large week in June whose calendar varies with this solemnity. In 2026, the associated local holiday is moved to Monday, 8 June. San Silvestre is celebrated on 31 December, within the municipal Christmas programme, and the End of Summer festivities usually take place between the end of August and the beginning of September.
  • Usual places: the parish of San Silvestre, the streets of the processional route, the Plaza de la Fuente, the plaza of the Leisure and Sports Centre, the fronton, the Multipurpose Building and the Reina Berenguela Municipal Auditorium.
  • Traditions: Corpus Christi includes mass and procession, accompanied in previous editions by dawn charra, folklore, festivals, sports competitions and children's activities. San Silvestre brings together the patronal mass and a popular race, in addition to the New Year's Eve programming.
  • Participación: The City Council, the Department of Celebrations and Citizen Participation, clubs, cultural and senior associations, athletes, families and neighbors participate. The programme of each edition determines events, schedules and registrations.
