Fair, holidays and cultural agenda of Albacete
The main festival is Feria de Albacete, with a big day around 8 September, festival of the Virgin of the Llanos. The usual period is from 7 September to 17, so it lasts approximately ten days.
The historic Fairgrounds, the Fair Walk and the urban centre concentrate the events: opening parade, opening of the Puerta de Hierros, offering to the patron saint, concerts, bullfighting fair, booths, children's, sports and gastronomic activities. The City Council, associations, clubs, cultural groups, families, hospitality, neighbors and visitors participate.
The local public holiday must be confirmed each year in the current official calendar. Also notable are the Carnival, Holy Week, Abycine, the Circo Theater programming, the Cutlery Museum, the municipal cultural agenda and activities in neighbourhoods and districts.
