Local festivals in Campo de Criptana

Campo de Criptana has traditional, religious, cultural and neighbourhood festivals. Northern Mancha highlights the Semana Santa, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, the Festival of the Virgin of Criptana, la Fair and Festivals, el Carnaval, the International Music Festival Tierra de Gigantes, the old-fashioned grinding, the Cervantina Week and different neighbourhood festivals.

• Name of the patron saint festivities: festivities in honour of Santísima Virgen de Criptana and to Santísimo Cristo de Villajos.
• Fair and Festivals: are usually celebrated from 23 August to 28 in honour of the Christ of Villajos, according to the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real and Mancha Norte.
• Festival of the Virgin of Criptana: is celebrated on Easter Monday, with a pilgrimage to the hill where the hermitage is located.
• Semana Santa: declared of Regional Tourist Interest, with processions from Friday of Sorrows to Good Friday and unique events such as the procession of Silence towards the Sierra de los Molinos.
• Carnaval: It includes dances, mask parades, local peñas, a large regional parade and Children's Day.
• Tierra de Gigantes International Music Festival: It is celebrated in July and August and links music, heritage and the Sierra de los Molinos.
• Molienda a la antigua usanza: traditional tourist activity in the Sierra de los Molinos, organised with the Hidalgos Amigos de los Molinos Association.
• Festivals in barrio: San Antón, San Sebastián, Virgen de la Paz, San Isidro, San Pedro, San Cristóbal, Virgen del Carmen and the Grandmother in Santa Ana.
