Local festivals of Las Pedroñeras

Las Pedroñeras combines its popular festivals with activities linked to its agricultural identity. The most unique quote is Feria Internacional del Ajo (FIDA), which brings together professional, gastronomic and family activities related to Ajo Morado de Las Pedroñeras at the fairgrounds. The 2024 edition celebrated its fiftieth call for three days, from 26 July to 28.

• Date and main celebrations: patron saint festivities around the beginning of September, San Isidro pilgrimage on 15 May and the International Garlic Fair during the summer.
• Usual duration: IFAD occupies a three-day weekend; The patron saint festivities and their complementary activities are distributed over several days according to the annual programme.
• Usual places: fairgrounds, Ethnographic and Garlic Museum, Business Centre, Parque de los Viveros and other municipal spaces.
• Traditions and activities: making strings, demonstrations of garlic crafts, cooking and garlic cutting competitions, tapas route, professional meetings, music and children's proposals.
• Participación: City Council, producers and marketers, IGP Ajo Morado de Las Pedroñeras, chefs, artisans, associations, families and visitors.
• Local public holidays in 2026: el 15 May and the 1 September, according to the official relationship published by the Castile-La Mancha Communities Board. These two days should not be confused with the entire duration of the festive programmes.
