Local festivals of Manresa

The Festa Major of Manresa is concentrated in the last days of August and links the ceremonial of the Cossos Sants with imagery, fire, music and the participation of local entities.

Usual celebration

The Town Hall links the origin of the festival to 1372, when the relics of Saint Agnès, Sant Fruitós and Sant Maurici were transferred to the Seu. The core is celebrated around the last weekend and the last Monday of August, although the previous events extend the cycle by more than a week. The proclamation, the thunderstorm and the cercavila start from the Plaza Major; the seguici takes the imagery to the Seu for the service; The Parc de l'Agulla houses the fire castle; and the correfoc on the last Monday runs through the historic centre with the Víbria, the Bou de Fusta and the colles de diablos. The City Council and the Manresa de Festa Association work with bearers, giants, big heads, musicians, the parish and popular culture groups.

2026 programme
