Festa Major de Sant Martirià

La Festa Major de Sant Martirià brings together every October two features especially typical of Banyoles: the contests and dances of cobla and sardanas, and the open-air concerts of Les Barraques. The traditions are completed with a proclamation, parades, giants and big heads, family activities and the amusement fair. The City Council, the festival commission, Foment de la Sardana, the Barraques youth entities, musicians, popular culture groups and local clubs participate.
