Las Fires and Festivals of the Santa Creu They are the main festival of Figueres and have as their central date the 3 May. The edition of 2026 was celebrated from 24 April to 3 May, lasting ten days. Its usual places are distributed between the Rambla and the central squares, the amusement park at the fairgrounds, the Parc de les Aigües and the city's cultural facilities.
The traditions combine the proclamation, gegants, castells, sardanas, concerts, family activities and the Creus de Maig Competition. These floral crosses have been displayed every 3 May since 1941: in 2026 they participated 21 entidades y asociaciones, with categories that recognized design, floral composition and traditional, original and Dalí proposals. The Rampell, managed by non-profit associations, is also a space for participation and self-financing of the local social fabric.
Los Local public holidays in Figueres in 2026, different from the duration of the festivals, were the 25 May, replacing 3 May as it falls on a Sunday, and the 29 June, Sant Pere, according to the municipal calendar.
