Fires of Sant Narcís and local holidays in Girona

Las Fires de Sant Narcís They are the main festival of Girona and their main day is 29 October, patron saint's day. Its usual period occupies the last weekend of October and lasts until the beginning of November. The most characteristic spaces are the Devesa park and its amusement area, the La Copa barracks, the Migdia park, the Plaza del Vi, the stairs of the Cathedral and different streets and neighbourhoods of the city.

Among the traditional events are the proclamation, the matinades, the giants and the bestiary, the fire of the Diables de l'Onyar, the sardanas, the castellera day and the climbing of the pillar of four of the Marrecs de Salt up the stairs of the Cathedral. The festival combines popular culture, concerts, barracks, attractions and family activities.
