Festa Major, Aplec y agenda cultural
La Festa Major de Sant Anastasi is celebrated around 11 May, patron's day. In 2026 the municipal edition took place 8 May to 11, lasting four days. The Plaza de la Paeria and the Plaza de Sant Joan host opening events and popular culture, while the Cathedral, the Camps Elisis, the Castell de Focs and other urban spaces host religious celebrations, concerts, fairs and family activities.
11 May brings together the Solemn Office, the Gegants dance inside the Cathedral and the Sant Anastasi procession. The entourage includes the Àliga de la Ciutat, Ball de Valencians, Ball de Bastons, Moixiganga, Moros i Cristians, Cavallets, Capgrossos, Gegants, Heralds, Macers, Castellers de Lleida, neighbourhood associations and popular culture entities. Also distinctive are the Marraco, the correfoc, the sardanas and the Battle of Flors. The municipal presentation of the Festa Major 2026 confirm the dates of the edition.
The city maintains other events with its own identity. The Aplec del Caragol brings together groups in the Camps Elisis around popular gastronomy, and Late Festivals They are organised around Sant Miquel at the end of September. They are celebrations differentiated from the Festa Major in May. The Paeria, associations, traditional culture groups, neighbors and visitors participate.

These two non-working working days are not equivalent to the four programming days in May or the full duration of the September holidays.
