Local festivals of Coslada
The festive calendar of Coslada combines the festivities of San Isidro in May with the Major Festivals June. In 2026, the date of San Isidro opened a celebration of the 14 May to 17, lasting four days, more than sixty activities and twenty-eight collaborating entities. The Salvador Allende Park was the main meeting place, along with the La Jaramilla Theater, the Plaza Mayor, the Margarita Nelken Cultural Centre and squares in different neighbourhoods. There was a traditional market, festival, brass bands, music and choirs, distribution of stew and doughnuts, traditional games and family programming.
The Major Festivals of 2026 were developed from 11 June to 15, five days. The fairgrounds, the Plaza Mayor, the Barrio del Puerto club area and various neighbourhood spaces hosted proclamations, concerts, orchestras, aquatic and children's activities and club meetings. The participation of associations, AMPAS, schools, regional houses, cultural groups and clubs is a central feature of both celebrations. The major programme also included a floral offering in the Plaza de San Pedro and San Pablo and a pilgrimage through the Barrio del Puerto.
Local public holidays in 2026: el 15 May, San Isidro, and the 15 June, Virgen del Amor Hermoso, are the two days declared by the Official Gazette of Madrid. The second coincides with the closing of the Major Festivals, but the five programming days are not five non-working days.
