Local festivals of Las Rozas de Madrid
Las Festivals in San Miguel They have as their central date the 29 September, festival of the patron saint of Las Rozas. Its usual celebration extends from the last days of September to the first of October: the City Council opens the Fairgrounds and distributes activities between the Plaza Mayor, Calle Real, Plaza de España, the Multipurpose Centre and the church of San Miguel Arcángel. Therefore, the festive duration includes several days and should not be reduced to the patron's day.
The proclamation and the chupinazo open the central events. The local peñas sustain a good part of the traditions: parades with brass bands, popular games, convivial meals and the float parade; The San Miguel procession, concerts, sports championships, running of the bulls and fireworks are added. The City Council, the clubs, sports clubs, cultural associations, the parish, neighbors and visitors participate. The municipal page of San Miguel documents these stable elements and preserves the latest published programme.
Las Matas also celebrates San José Obrero. In 2026 the official celebrations began on 30 April and concluded the 3 May, four days with proclamation, chupinazo, coronation of Kings and Queens and parade of floats through its streets.
