Local festivals of Cieza

The Fair and Patron Saint Festivities of San Bartolomé are celebrated every year between 24 and el 31 August. Its usual duration is, therefore, ocho días. The Plaza de España and its Fairgrounds host festivals and shows, while the streets, the Capitol Theatre, the sports facilities and the San Bartolomé hermitage host the proclamation, the procession, concerts, brass bands, children's activities and competitions.

2026 edition: As of the date of updating this sheet, the City Council has published the stable period of the Fair, but has not yet presented the complete daily programme for August 2026. Therefore, the usual structure is preserved without transferring actions from 2025 to the current year. The City Council, brotherhoods, cultural and sports associations, clubs, musicians, neighbors and visitors participate. Among the characteristic events at the end of August are also the International Folklore Festival in Segura and the olive pit throwing contest.

Local Labour Holiday 2026: The municipal calendar identifies the 24 August, San Bartolomé, as a local day. It is the non-working day confirmed by the municipal source consulted and should not be confused with the eight days of celebration. The Flowering of Cieza, Holy Week and the Peach Fair complete the cultural calendar with independent dates.
