Local festivals in Benidorm

Usual celebration

The Festes Majors Patronals honour the Virgin of Suffrage and Sant Jaume, usually over five days in November. For 2026, the Town Hall has announced dates from 7 to 11 November. The old town, the church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, Sant Jaume square and the central streets host the re-enactment of the patron's discovery, the pilgrimage, Masses, processions, music, festival clubs and fireworks.

The Comissió de Festes Majors Patronals organises the events with the Town Hall, the festival queens, ladies and mayorales, while clubs, bands, residents and visitors take part.

Local public holidays in 2026

The Generalitat Valenciana sets Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November 2026 as Benidorm's local public holidays.

Other events

The Virgen del Carmen festivities preserve Benidorm's seafaring tradition in July, with Mass, a floral offering and a procession by land and sea from the harbour, organised by the fishermen's guild and the festival committee with Town Hall support.
