Local festivals of Borriana

Las Fallas de Borriana tienen como main date 19 March, Sant Josep's day. In the 2026 edition, the City Council opened the calendar with the proclamation of 15 February and concentrated the big week between 6 and el 19 March, lasting fourteen days. The streets, squares, mansions and monuments of the commissions are their usual places. The plantà, the mascletaes, the parades, the floral offering to the Virgin of Mercy and the cremà articulate a celebration in which the Local Fallera Board, the commissions, the fallera queens and their courts, bands, neighbors and visitors participate.

The second great cycle is the Festivals in la Misericordia, patron saints, which take place in the first half of September around the 8th. Its most unique tradition is the Batalla de Flores: The Fallas commissions prepare floats and clothing with the paperet technique and parade among confetti and streamers as the closing of the festivities. By 2026, institutional information places this act as the 13 September. The City Council had already published the bullfighting preparations and the advertising poster, but these partial announcements do not replace the complete programme of the edition.

Local public holidays in 2026: The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana declares the 3 February, festividad de San Blas, and the 8 September, festival of the Virgin of Mercy. There are two non-working days at the municipal level; Neither the entire Fallas period nor all the days of the patron saint's festivities have the character of a public holiday.
