Fair and Festes de Sant Joan and Sant Pere de Vinaròs
Date, duration and usual places. The Vinaròs fair links the festivities of Sant Joan and Sant Pere during the second half of June. It takes place in the port, the promenade, the urban centre and the fairgrounds, with bonfires, music, fishing events, gastronomic proposals and popular activities. On 20 January, Sant Sebastià, patron saint of the city, is also celebrated with pilgrimages and traditional events.
2026 Programme. The Fira i Festes was held from 19 June to 29, eleven days, under the protection of the fair privilege granted to the city in 1686. The municipal programme distributed concerts, orchestras, children's and sports activities and proposals such as Vermut de Festes, Garden and Vinaròs Ciutat d'Artistes between the port and different festive spaces. The court was made up of 27 representatives of entities and schools, in addition to the senior and children's queens.
Traditions and participation. The arrival of the Canigó Flame, the Sant Joan bonfire, the parades, the proclamation of queens, the Sant Pere events and the final fires make the celebration unique. The City Council, the court of honour, schools, cultural and sports associations, clubs, municipal brigade and citizens participate.
Local public holidays in 2026. The Plenary set the Tuesday, 20 January, Sant Sebastià, and Monday, 29 June, Sant Pere as paid and non-recoverable local festivals. 24 June is part of the Sant Joan celebration, but it is not one of the two local public holidays agreed by Vinaròs.
