Local festivals of Burjassot

Burjassot celebrates every 16 August a Sant Roc, patron saint of the town. Its most unique tradition is the ceremony formed by the Pujà and the Rodà, declared a Festival of Local Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community. After the high mass in the church of San Miguel Arcángel and the procession through the old town, clavarios, bearers and rocketeers accompany the image with music and gunpowder during the Pujà and the subsequent Rodà.

En 2026, the municipal programme covers 1 August to 16, lasting sixteen days. It begins in the Emilio Castelar square with a musical festival; Since 2 August, the boss's transfers have traveled through neighbourhoods, parishes and fallaes. The big day brings together the clavarios in the square, the high mass in San Miguel Arcángel, the procession and the pyrotechnic closing in the Les Palmeres parking lot. La Clavaría de Sant Roc 2026 prepares the programme with the collaboration of the Department of Festivals; The Los Silos Musical Group, clavarios, carriers and rocketeers also participate.
