Bando de la Huerta 2026 Programme in Murcia

Murcia celebró el Tuesday 7 April 2026 the Bando de la Huerta, which reached its 175th anniversary. The City Council published the schedules for the orchard mass, the procession and the grand parade, while the Local Police detailed the itinerary and the mobility device.

Monday, 6 April 2026: children's anteroom

  • 17:00: exit of the Bando de la Huerta Infantil from Gutiérrez Mellado Avenue.
  • 17:30: Departure of the floral offering from the Plaza de Camachos. Both processions converged in Martínez Tornel and continued to the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga.

Tuesday, 7 April 2026: main events

  • 10:00: orchard mass before the Virgin of Fuensanta in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, sung by the choir and rondalla San Basilio el Grande de la Peña La Parra.
  • After mass: procession of the Virgin of Fuensanta along a circular route through the streets of the centre of Murcia.
  • 17:00: beginning of the Bando de la Huerta parade from San Juan de la Cruz Avenue, with more than 80 floats, folk groups and traditional scenes.
  • 21:00 aproximadamente: expected end time of the parade device.

2026 parade route

The official itinerary was: Avenida San Juan de la Cruz, Calle Mozart, Alameda de Capuchinos, Marqués de Corvera, Plaza González Conde, Priestess Hermanos Cerón, Princesa, Puente Nuevo, Plaza Cruz Roja, Teniente Flomesta, Plaza Martínez Tornel, Gran Vía Escultor Salzillo, Avenida de la Constitución, Plaza Circular, Ronda de Levante and Plaza Juan XXIII.

Contenido especial del 175.º aniversario

The opening featured the Air Command Music Unit linked to the General Air and Space Academy of San Javier. Among the novelties were a historical municipal horse-drawn float, the first participation of the Alcantarilla Huerta Museum and a representation of native livestock breeds of the Region. A dozen folk groups also participated.
