Cantabrian Wars Programme 2026
The XXIV edition of the Cantabrian Wars will be held in Los Corrales de Buelna on 28, 29 and 30 August and from 4 to 6 September 2026. Between both weekends there will be workshops and conferences from 31 August to 3 September.
Notice: The programme may undergo changes. The organisation numbers the spaces like this: 1, Cantabrian camp; 2, Roman settlement; 3, Agora; 4, amphitheater; 5, temple of Janus; 6, protocol tent; 7, Holy Land; 8, Macellum; and 9, multipurpose room of Espacio La Plaza.
Friday 28 August 2026
- 19:30: walk «Do you want to meet us?» for the camp and its preparations (1).
- 20:30: Chronicle of Wars: inauguration and opening of the temple (3).
- 21:00: concentration of tribes and legions and delivery of banners (4). Next: tribute to those absent and delivery of the treasure; omens of Drusilla and Selenia; character entry; lighting and distribution of the sacred fire; and opening of the temple of Janus (4 and 5).
- 23:00: adult games at camp (1). Afterwards, Full Moon Night for revelers (5) and photocall with characters (3).
Saturday 29 August 2026
- 11:00: open general rehearsal of the battle, about two hours (3), and Cantabrian-Roman cooking competition for festival-goers (2).
- 11:30 y 17:00: forge workshop on military weapons in the Cantabrian Wars (7).
- 12:30: presentación del libro Tarvos. From Tartessos to Gaul, de Elisa Rivero Tarvos (6).
