Carnaval de Villarrobledo 2026 programme

Carnaval de Villarrobledo took place from 12 to 22 February 2026. The official municipal book set out eleven days from Jueves Lardero to Domingo de Gachas, with Plaza Vieja, the Carpa del Carnaval and several town routes as the main venues.

Jueves Lardero, Thursday 12 February

  • 20:00, Plaza Vieja: Los Juanes arrive to announce Carnival, followed by the Bela Bruo batucada.

Friday 13 February

  • 21:00, Plaza Vieja: opening gala hosted by Jesús Arenas and Kalderas; proclamation by the CEIP Virgen de la Caridad comparsa «Mundo de Fantasía»; awards and Máscara de Oro; Young Jewels dance academy and Bloom Party with Raquel Maravilla, Freazer, Sánchez Kijada, Valero and Cristian Penalva.

Saturday 14 February

  • 13:00-16:00, Plaza Vieja: despedidas carnival lunch, sliced ham and gazpacho manchego, with Rumbamonguers and Los Trota brass band.
  • 18:00, Carpa del Carnaval: Grand Carnival Parade, gathering and starting at Plaza Ramón y Cajal before following the local route.
  • 23:30, Carpa: Supernova orchestra.
  • 01:30, Carpa: night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-01:00.

Sunday 15 February

  • 13:30, Plaza Vieja: wine and tapas with Two Monos.
  • 17:30, Carpa del Carnaval: Grand Children's Parade, gathering and starting at Plaza Ramón y Cajal before following the local route.

Monday 16 February

  • 17:30-19:30, Carpa: children's carnival with Martini y Carlotti, workshops and entertainment.
  • 20:30, Carpa: Carnaval Animal and awards.
  • 22:00, Circuito Visever: Crazy Cars Race and awards.
  • 23:00, Carpa: Rastrillo de Carnaval with Carlos Díaz, Javier Hache, Tommy Kido and other DJs.
  • 01:00, Carpa: themed night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-00:30.

Tuesday 17 February, Fiesta del Orgullo Manchego

  • 14:00, Carpa: seventeenth charity Manchegan lunch organised by AFA Villarrobledo.
  • 17:30-19:30, Carpa: children's carnival with Martini y Carlotti.
  • 21:00, Carpa: Manchegan dance with El Harnero and Barro Tinajero.
  • 22:30, Carpa: Safir orchestra.
  • 01:00, Carpa: themed night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-00:30.

Ash Wednesday, 18 February

  • 13:00-16:00, Plaza Vieja: wine and tapas with «La Verbena me Envenena», Alicia and Martín; Beer Runners Carnavalera around San Blas.
  • 17:30-19:30, Carpa: children's carnival with Martini y Carlotti.
  • 21:00: Entierro de la Sardina, gathering at Plaza Ramón y Cajal, local route, awards and sardine burning.
  • 23:30, Carpa: session with Silvia G, Javi Martín, Sánchez Kijada, Carlos Díaz, Cristian Penalva, Tommy Kido, Javier Hache and Valero.
  • 01:30, Carpa: night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-01:00.

Thursday 19 February

  • 13:00-16:00, Plaza Vieja: wine and tapas with ensembles from the Aula de Música Moderna.
  • 17:00, Carpa: children's carnival with Martini y Carlotti and a public hot-chocolate gathering.
  • 19:00, Carpa: children's costume contest.
  • 22:00: Concurso de Bodas, starting from Plaza Ramón y Cajal along the local route, with awards afterwards.
  • 00:30, Carpa: Titanio orchestra.
  • 02:00, Carpa: night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-01:30.

Friday 20 February, local holiday

  • 13:00-16:00, Plaza Vieja: wine and tapas with Fran Caba.
  • 13:00, Plaza de la Constitución: Drag Queens Race via Graciano Atienza and Plaza Ramón y Cajal, followed by awards.
  • 17:30, Carpa: Grand Children's Parade, starting at Plaza Ramón y Cajal and following the local route.
  • 23:30, Carpa: Fiesta 40 Principales with DJ Nano, Óscar Martínez and local DJs.
  • 02:00, Carpa: night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-01:30.

Saturday 21 February

  • 13:00-16:00, Plaza Vieja: despedidas carnival lunch, sliced ham and gazpacho manchego, with Rumbamonguers and Los Trota.
  • 17:00, esplanade of the Los Pintores neighbourhood pavilion: Grand National Carnival Parade along the national route, with awards afterwards.
  • 23:45, Carpa: Diamante Show orchestra.
  • 02:00, Carpa: night-time costume contest and awards; registration 23:30-01:30.

Domingo de Resaca, Sunday 22 February

  • 13:00, Carpa: Gachas Contest, awards and public tasting.
