Programme of the Viking Pilgrimage of Catoira 2026

The Viking Romaría of Catoira celebrates its 2026 edition between the 26 July and 3 August 2026. The central landing will take place on Sunday, 2 August at the Torres de Oeste, within a programme with sports, cinema, theater, medieval market, music and family proposals.

Sunday 26 July 2026

  • III Romaría Viking Rise de Xadrez.
  • III BTT Ruta Vikinga.

Tuesday 28 July 2026

  • 21:30: Viking Film, with the screening of Ponyo on the cliff, in Doctor Vázquez Square.

Wednesday, 29 July 2026

  • 22:30: representation of Torres que resisten, run by the Municipal Theater School, in the Torres de Oeste.

Thursday 30 July 2026

  • 12:00: performance by Antuán de la Cream in the Alameda.
  • 22:30: second representation of Torres que resisten, in the West Towers.

Friday, 31 July 2026

  • 18:00: opening of the Medieval Market and the Vikinguinha children's area.
  • During the afternoon, parades and traveling shows with a Nordic theme.
  • Start of VikingMusic in the area of the Torres de Oeste.
  • fire show O Último Sol de Midgard.
  • 22:30: official proclamation by M.ª Fernanda Constantino and María Pérez, members of the As Torres Canoeing Club.
  • A continuación, nueva función de Torres que resisten.

Saturday 1 August 2026

  • 10:00: apertura del Mercado Medieval.
  • During the day, traditional music, clan parades and drums through the streets of Catoira.
  • Before noon, tavern session.
  • At noon, Viking Xantar in the West Towers.
  • In the afternoon, VikingMusic, traveling parades and fire shows.
  • At night, Música baixo as antorchas.

Sunday 2 August 2026

  • 10:00: opening of the Medieval Market and entertainment in the streets.
  • 11:00: pasacalles.
  • 12:30: dramatization of the Viking Landing in the West Towers.
  • 13:45: actuación de Troula.
  • 18:30: performance of As Comerciantes de Especias.
  • 21:30: farewell parade with Infernun.
  • 22:00: VikingMusic.

Monday 3 August 2026

  • 11:00: Vikinguinho landing in the West Towers.
  • 18:00: opening of popular games.
  • 19:00: children's show Niquiñaque, de Espectáculos Valente.
  • As a closing, rock concert by the Catoira Music Band with Cris Collazo and Josito Porto.
