Programme for the San Isidro 2026 festivities in Madrid

The festivities of San Isidro 2026 were celebrated from Thursday, 7 May to Sunday, 17 May 2026. The municipal programme brought together activities in the Pradera de San Isidro, Plaza Mayor, Vistillas Gardens, Matadero Madrid and numerous districts.

Thursday 7 May 2026

  • 18:30: Parade of Giants and Big Heads from the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions to the Plaza de la Villa.
  • 19:00: Pablo Pueblo DJ Set, Plaza de la Villa.
  • 20:00: proclamation of Sonsoles Ónega, Plaza de la Villa.
  • 21:30: escucha de love love FLAKK Rels B, Plaza Mayor.

  • Wednesday 13th: traditional activities, workshops and music; distribution of donuts at the Tetuán Market.

  • 10:00-21:00: Cacharrería Fair, Plaza de las Comendadoras, until 17 May.
  • 19:00: LOS40 Classic 60th Anniversary Concert with Miguel Ríos, Alejo Stivel, Sole Giménez, The Refrescos, Celtas Cortos, OBK, Amistades Peligrosas, Marilia, Nena Daconte and DePol, Plaza Mayor.
  • 20:30: Vicente Calderón, main stage of the Pradera.
  • Beginning of the Matadero Madrid festivals and opening of the Teatro de Atómatas, both until 17 May.

Friday, 15 May 2026: San Isidro Day

  • 9:00-13:00 y 16:45-21:00: opening of the chapel of the Cuadra de San Isidro, Paratil de Santisteban, 3; masses at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • 10:00: solemn mass of San Isidro, Royal Collegiate Church of San Isidro.
  • 10:15: Giants and Big Heads from the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions to the hermitage, along the Paseo del Quince de Mayo.
  • 11:30-21:00: opening of the sepulchral chapel of San Isidro, Royal Collegiate Church.
  • 12:00: participatory parade Dancing through Madrid, from Puerta del Sol to Plaza de Oriente.
  • 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 y 20:00: masses in the Royal Collegiate Church.
  • 13:00: field mass next to the hermitage of San Isidro, in La Pradera.
  • 14:00: brass band from the El Mazo Association of Madrid, between the family and main stages of La Pradera.
  • 17:00-19:30: performances of the Federation of Traditional Madrid Groups, Pradera.
  • 19:00: procession of San Isidro and Santa María de la Cabeza from the Royal Collegiate Church, through Puerta Cerrada, Sacramento, Mayor, Plaza de la Villa and Plaza Mayor.
  • 19:30: chotis multitudinario, Matadero Madrid.
  • 23:59: Fireworks castle, Pradera de San Isidro.

Saturday, 16 May and Sunday, 17 May 2026

The programming continued with concerts, family activities, traditional proposals and festivals in Pradera, Las Vistillas, Plaza Mayor, Matadero and the districts. On Sunday the 17th the main programme concluded with the fireworks display. Resplandor on the Prairie.
