Holy Week in Cieza 2026 programme

Palm Sunday, 29 March
At 10 am, Mass and blessing of palms at the Basilica; at 11 am, Procesión de la Palma from Plaza Mayor. At 6 pm, Cristo del Consuelo was transferred from its hermitage to the Basilica.
Holy Monday, 30 March
At 9.30 pm, the Cristo de la Sangre Via Crucis left Plaza Mayor and followed Cid, La Parra, Pinos, Larga, San Sebastián, Mesones, Cadenas and Barco.
Holy Tuesday, 31 March
At 9 pm, the Auto del Prendimiento began in Plaza Mayor, followed by the procession with Santa Cena, Oración del Huerto, Prendimiento, Jesús Nazareno and the Tercio Romano.
Holy Wednesday, 1 April
At 5.30 pm, children's parade; at 6.30 pm and 7 pm, transfers of San Juan and Santa María Magdalena. At 9 pm, Procesión General left Plaza Mayor with thirteen scenes of the Passion.
Maundy Thursday, 2 April
At 6.30 pm, Mass of the Lord's Supper at the Basilica. At 8.15 pm, Procesión de los Hijos de María left Diego Tortosa; at midnight, Procesión del Silencio left the Cristo de la Agonía chapel.
Good Friday, 3 April
At 9.30 am, Procesión del Penitente left Plaza Mayor. At 6 pm, the Passion service at the Basilica; at 6.30 pm, Santo Sepulcro transfer; and at 8.30 pm, Procesión del Santo Entierro.
Holy Saturday, 4 April
At midnight, vigil at San Joaquín y San Pascual; at 3 am, Descenso de Cristo a los Infiernos from Plaza Mayor; at 5.30 pm, children's parade; and at 10 pm, Easter Vigil at the Basilica.
Easter Sunday, 5 April
At 10.30 am, bands' parade; at 10.45 am, transfers of Magdalena and Amor Hermoso; at 11 am, Procesión del Resucitado; and at 11.30 am, La Cortesía at Esquina del Convento.
