Jumilla Holy Week 2026 programme

The Central Board of Brotherhoods and Confraternities published the processions, transfers and services for Holy Week in Jumilla in 2026. The main cycle ran from 27 March to 5 April 2026.

Friday 27 and Palm Sunday, 29 March

  • Friday 27, 21:30: Solemn Stations of the Cross from Santiago church, passing Plaza de Arriba, San Roque and Plaza de la Constitución, and ending at El Salvador.
  • Sunday 29, 10:30: blessing of palms in Plaza de San Juan; Eucharist at 11:00 and Palm Procession at 12:00 from San Juan to Santiago.
  • 17:00: Eucharist at Santa Ana; 17:45: descent of Cristo Amarrado a la Columna; reception at San Agustín at 20:00 and arrival at Santiago at 22:30.

Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March

  • Monday 30, 22:30: Vespers at San José convent; 22:45: Promises of the Holy Rosary Procession to the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción residence chapel, with Compline at midnight.
  • Tuesday 31, 23:30: penitential service at Santiago; 00:00: Penitents' Procession through the old town, with scheduled points at Plaza de Arriba, the Central Board and Plaza del Cabecico.

Holy Wednesday, 1 April

  • 16:30: Los Armaos summon the town to El Prendimiento from Plaza de la Constitución.
  • 17:30: sacred drama El Prendimiento in Plaza de Arriba.
  • 22:00: Jesús Prendido Procession from El Salvador, via Canalejas, Milanos, Plaza de la Constitución, Cánovas del Castillo and Plaza de la Glorieta, returning at approximately 23:50.

Maundy Thursday, 2 April

  • From 17:30: Masses of the Lord's Supper and visits by the Manolas to the repositories; adoration at San Juan, El Salvador and Santiago between 19:00 and 21:00.
  • 22:00: Amargura Procession from Santa María; Central Board at 22:45 and Plaza de la Glorieta at 23:15; arrival at El Salvador at 23:45.

Good Friday, 3 April

  • 10:00: Calvario Procession from El Salvador, passing Santiago at 11:30 and arriving at Plaza de la Glorieta at 12:50.
  • 21:00: Santo Entierro Procession from Santa María; Central Board at 21:45, El Salvador at 22:30 and Cruces at 23:15.

Saturday 4 and Easter Sunday, 5 April

  • Saturday 4, 19:00: Redención Procession from Santiago to the San Roque hermitage, arriving at approximately 21:45.
  • Sunday 5, from 09:00: Los Armaos route through Plaza de Arriba, Arco de San Roque, the Central Board, Town Hall, Teatro Vico and El Rollo.
  • 11:00: El Caracol dance and Encounter in Plaza del Rollo; 11:15: Jesús Resucitado Procession, passing the Central Board at 12:15 and arriving at El Salvador at 13:45.
