La Fair and Festivals of San Lucas It is the great autumn event in Jaén and its central date is 18 October. En 2026 The City Council approved a programme from 9 October to 18, with a duration of ten days. The opening of the booths is scheduled for the 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Alcalde Alfonso Sánchez Herrera Fairgrounds; The closing will be on the 18th with a drone show visible from the Paseo de Caballos.

The annual programme places the inaugural proclamation and the parade "Jaén, city of fantasy and legend" on 10 October, led by the figure of the Magdalena Lizard. The programme brings together the booths and the horse ride with concerts, flamenco, zarzuela, theater, children's activities, music bands, bobbin lace competition, exhibition of bullfighting and various festivals. The Municipal Board of Culture, cassette players, academies, bands, artists, associations, families, neighbors and visitors participate. The activities cited belong to the 2026 edition and do not constitute a permanent calendar for subsequent years.

Another local tradition is the Lumbres and San Antón Festival in Jaén: in 2026, its cultural programme ran from 15 to 18 January and bonfires were lit in different neighbourhoods. Local public holidays in 2026: the municipal plenary session and the BOJA established 11 June, Virgin of the Chapel, and 25 November, Santa Catalina. Neither coincides with the ten days of Saint Luke; the October fair does not turn its entire programme into a non-working period.
