Las Bodas de Isabel de Segura 2026 programme

The thirtieth Las Bodas de Isabel de Segura took place in Teruel from 19 to 22 February 2026. The official programme combined scenes from the Lovers' legend with a market, camps, haimas, music, dances, theatre, displays and group activities.

Thursday 19 February

  • 18:30, Plaza de la Catedral: «Charlatana y yerbera», storytelling by Maricuela.
  • 21:00, Plaza de la Catedral: «Las mujeres deshabitadas».
  • 21:30, Plaza de la Catedral and town centre: Procesión de las Ánimas.

Friday 20 February

  • 10:00, historic centre: camps and medieval market open, with Charraire and La Nariz Roja.
  • 10:30, Plaza de la Catedral: blessing of the Las Bodas beer at the Abadía de San Arnoldo de Ámbar.
  • 11:00, Plaza de San Juan: leper hospital and characterisation workshop.
  • 11:45, from La Andaquilla: wedding procession through Puerta de Daroca to the Cathedral.
  • 12:00, Plaza de la Catedral: Isabel de Segura marries Pedro de Azagra.
  • 12:45, Town Hall balcony: proclamation by Nacho del Río and Beatriz Bernad.
  • 13:15, Plaza de la Catedral: Danzas para la Boda with Grupo Manfredina and Los Alarifes de San Martín.
  • 13:30, San Pedro church: «Defensor de Tirwal» awards.
  • 16:30, Plaza de las Monjas: Beni-Razín Arabic tea tasting.
  • 17:30-20:00, Plaza de la Catedral: Revuelta en la Plaza, Los Pícaros, the blind monk's procession, battle of wits, «¡Qué cruz!», Huérfanos de la Madre Frontonia and «Se busca benefactor».
  • 18:30: medieval dances by Grupo Manfredina in Plaza del Torico and Octava Milla in the Parque de los Fueros amphitheatre.
  • 19:00, Paseo del Óvalo: medieval wares display and broth by Mercatores.
  • 20:00: inhabitants' parade from Ronda de Ambeles to the Tozal; reception for King Jaime I in Parque de los Fueros.
  • 20:15: King Jaime I's parade from Parque de los Fueros to Plaza del Torico.
  • 20:30, Plaza del Torico: feast, homage and offerings before the king.
  • 21:15, Plaza del Torico: «El ritual de Farralis» fire show.
  • 21:30, Plaza de la Catedral: chapter of the Order of the Temple.
  • 23:00, from Calle Santa Teresa: the Cathars' Procesión del Grial.

Saturday 21 February

  • 10:00: camps and market open with Barzonia and Compañía Chéchare.
  • 10:30-12:30: camp, guild and group activities in Plaza del Seminario, Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de San Juan, Paseo del Óvalo, Glorieta and Calle Tribuna.
  • 12:00, Plaza de la Escalinata: Romance de Melusina and a women's battle; in Plaza de la Catedral, Huérfanos de la Madre Frontonia.
  • 12:30: Ludo Belli at the Escalinata; «¡Qué cruz!» in Plaza de la Catedral; and «Nomaduk: The Barbarian Show» in Parque de los Fueros.
  • 13:00, Plaza del Torico: dances by Manfredina, Octava Milla and L’Orache; birds of prey display in Jardines de la Escalinata.
  • 15:30, Ronda de Ambeles: medieval games and horseshoe throwing.
  • 16:15-17:45, Tozal and Plaza del Torico: Toro Bravo Nupcial; a dangerous event which children and older people were warned not to approach.
  • 16:30: «Nomaduk: La llegada de los vikingos» parade from the Cathedral via Yagüe de Salas, Óvalo and Glorieta.
  • 17:00, bullring: King's Tournament; also traditional games in Ronda de Ambeles and a morra championship in Plaza del Seminario.
  • 17:30: semi-acoustic Lurte concert at the Escalinata and Octava Milla dances in Parque de los Fueros.
  • 18:00-18:30: dances by L’Orache and Manfredina, children's activities, demonstrations and «Nomaduk: Iluminando el bosque» parade.
  • 19:00, Portal de Daroca: troops gather; 19:15: the Aragonese troops and Juan Diego de Marcilla enter Plaza del Seminario.
  • 19:45, Plaza de la Catedral: Diego meets his parents.
  • 20:00, Plaza del Torico: the request for a kiss, Diego's death and Isabel's lament.
  • 20:30: Procesión de las Ánimas from Plaza del Torico and transfer of the deceased to Hospital de La Merced.
  • 21:00: charity torch parade from Plaza de los Amantes to Jardines de la Escalinata.
  • 21:30, Jardines de la Escalinata: «La vela del Capitán», the companies' funeral rite.

Sunday 22 February

  • 10:00: camps and medieval market open with Charraire.
  • 11:00, Hotel Reina Cristina: gathering for Diego de Marcilla's burial.
  • 11:30, Plaza de San Juan: goldsmithing display.
  • 11:45, Paseo del Óvalo: Diego's funeral procession via Nueva, Amargura, Santa Cristina, San Juan, Plaza del Torico, Yagüe de Salas and Plaza de la Catedral.
  • 11:45, Plaza de la Catedral: «Comadreos sobre el difunto».
  • 12:30, Plaza de la Catedral: Diego's funeral rites and Isabel's death; then a procession via Yagüe de Salas, Plaza del Torico and Calle Amantes to Plaza del Seminario.
  • 13:00, Plaza del Seminario: Romance del Ciego, Oda a los Amantes, Invitación al Beso and «Los latidos de los Amantes» with drums.
  • Activities continued in the market and historic centre throughout the day.
