Fallas de Alzira 2026 programme

The official book published by the Junta Local Fallera contains a calendar running from January to the cremà on 19 March 2026. The published events, times and locations are set out below.

Notice: the Junta Local Fallera reserves the right to alter the programme if needs or circumstances arise.

January and presentations

  • Friday 9 January, 19:30: awards for the Children's Valencian Theatre Competition and nominees for the adult competition, Gran Teatre.
  • 10 January-22 February: presentations by Alzira's Fallas commissions, according to each commission's timetable.
  • Friday 16 January, 20:00: presentation of the Junta Local Fallera book, Casa de la Cultura.

Ninot exhibition and Crida

  • Wednesday 25 February, 20:00: voting for the Ninot Exhibition, Casa de la Cultura.
  • Thursday 26 February, 20:00: awards for the best ninot in each section and the city's ninot indultat, Plaça Major; afterwards, opening of the Ninot Exhibition in the covered courtyard at Casa de la Cultura.
  • 27 February-13 March: Ninot and llibret exhibitions at Casa de la Cultura. Monday-Friday, 18:00-21:00; Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30-13:30 and 18:00-20:30.
  • Saturday 28 February, 17:30: mass in memory of deceased fallers at Sants Patrons parish church; then parade to the Town Hall, Crida from the balcony, parade to Plaça del Regne and fireworks display.

March events before the main festival days

  • Sunday 1 March, 10:30: children's festival and globotà. 19:00: Gala de la Cultura, Gran Teatre.
  • Saturday 7 March, 17:30: multicoloured parade through Alzira's streets.
  • Sunday 8 March, 11:30: paella competition.
  • Sunday 15 March, 11:00: parade and visit to Special Section commissions. 14:00: mascletà, Plaça del Regne. 14:30: lunch honouring falleras mayores and commission presidents, Sala Cotonera. 20:30: Homenatge al Foc Antic, Plaça del Carbó.

Monday 16 March

  • 08:00: children's macrodespertà.
  • 11:00: parade and visit to Special Section fallas.
  • 14:00: mascletà, Plaça del Regne.
  • 14:30: lunch honouring children's falleras mayores and children's presidents, Junta Local Fallera building.

Tuesday 17 March

  • 08:00: despertà.
  • 11:00: parade and visit to the different commissions.
  • 14:00: mascletà, Plaça del Regne.
  • 18:00: awards ceremony.

Wednesday 18 March

  • 08:00: despertà.
  • 11:00: parade and visit to the different commissions.
  • 14:00: mascletà, Plaça del Regne.
  • 17:30: floral offering to the Mare de Déu del Lluch and Sant Josep.
  • 00:00: Nit del Foc.

Thursday 19 March, Saint Joseph's Day

  • 08:00: despertà.
  • 11:00: parade.
  • 14:00: mascletà, Plaça del Regne.
  • 17:00: pasodoble parade.
  • 21:00: the Fallera Major Infantil, Court of Honour and Junta Local Fallera visit the commission winning first prize in the Children's Special Section, followed by the cremà of its falla.
  • 00:00: the Fallera Major, Court of Honour and Junta Local Fallera visit the commission winning first prize in the Special Section, followed by the cremà of its falla.
