Molinaseca festivities and Water Festival 2026 programme

6 to 14 August
7 pm, novena in honour of Nuestra Señora la Virgen de las Angustias at the Santuario de las Angustias.
7 August
Opening of Margarita Negro ‘Origata’ exhibition ‘La huella de la mujer en Molinaseca’ at the tourist office exhibition room, running until 9 September.
8 August
13th ‘Las Puentes del Malpaso’ Mountain Race, followed by communal paella at the river beach; paella price: €6.
14 August
6 pm, unmarried versus married women's football match at the San Roque football ground; 9.30 pm, Denominación de Origen Band at Plaza del Rollo; 12.30 am, open-air dance with Orquesta Salsarena at the river swimming area, followed by a mobile disco at the shooting ground.
15 August — Nuestra Señora de las Angustias
9.30 am, Mass at the Santuario de las Angustias; 10 am, street parade; 12.15 pm, authorities leave the Town Hall with residents in traditional Molinaseca dress; 12.30 pm, procession, banner parade and solemn Mass at the sanctuary; 6 pm, unmarried versus married men's football at the San Roque ground; 8.30 pm, tour of local wine cellars with a brass band; 9 pm, afternoon dance with Costa Dorada at the river swimming area; 12.30 am, open-air dance with Costa Dorada followed by a mobile disco at the shooting ground.
16 August — San Roque
10 am, street parade; 12.30 pm, San Roque procession and solemn Mass sung by the Bierzo Canta choir at San Nicolás de Bari; 8.30 pm, street parade with Trarit Company pianopupp; 9 pm, afternoon dance with Los Player's at the river swimming area; 12.30 am, open-air dance with Los Player's followed by a mobile disco at the shooting ground.
17 August — Santa Bárbara and the Water Festival
8 am, hot chocolate for €1 in the former school courtyard, followed by the release of water along Calle Real; 9 am, chocolate distributed through the streets with a brass band; noon–2 pm, games and inflatables at the river swimming area; 12.30 pm, solemn Mass in honour of Santa Bárbara at the Santuario de las Angustias; 4–6 pm, more games and inflatables; 5.30 pm, brass band at Plaza del Rollo; 6 pm, charity caldero meal at Plaza del Rollo, followed by a second release of water; 9 pm, dance with Trío D'Líder at Plaza del Santo Cristo; 11 pm, Leticia Sabater at Plaza del Santo Cristo.
