Local festivals in Alzira

Alzira has a broad festive calendar, with the Fallas and the major festival of Sant Bernat, Maria y Gràcia among its principal celebrations. The City Council and cultural and neighbourhood organisations organise religious events, music, fireworks and activities across the city's districts and public spaces.

Usual celebration

The Sant Bernat festivities culminate on 23 July, the patrons' feast day. The celebration lasts for several days around that date and takes place in streets, squares, churches and municipal venues, with a procession, concerts, shows, open-air dances and fireworks.

Programme for 2026

The municipal programme ran for seven days, from 17 to 23 July. It included concerts and shows in Parc Pere Crespí, Plaça Major and the fairground; La Fúmiga performed on 22 July, while the musical The Legends and the traditional fireworks display closed the festival on Sant Bernat day, 23 July.

Local public holidays in 2026

The municipal e-government calendar declares 13 April, Sant Vicent Ferrer, and 23 July, Sant Bernat, as Alzira's local non-working holidays for employment and administrative purposes. These are the two local public holidays in 2026 and do not represent the full duration of the celebrations.

Other events

The municipal calendar also records the Fallas, Mare de Déu del Lluch, the pilgrimage to La Murta and numerous district and rural-area festivals, each with its own dates and traditions.
