San Cayetano 2026 festivities programme in Madrid

The festivities of San Cayetano will be celebrated from 4 August-7, 2026 in the surroundings of Cascorro, Embajadores, Plaza del General Vara de Rey, Ribera de Curtidores and Calle del Oso. SAMUR-Civil Protection will give the speech.

  • 19:00-21:00: History of Lavapiés project, Cascorro square.
  • 19:00-00:00: Free lemonade with brass band, Calle del Oso.
  • 19:30: exhibition of giants and big heads, Plaza del General Vara de Rey.
  • 19:45: presentation of traditional characters, Plaza del General Vara de Rey.
  • 20:00: proclamation of SAMUR-Civil Protection, Plaza del General Vara de Rey; and storyteller, Ribera de Curtidores, 2.
  • 20:45: election of traditional characters, Plaza del General Vara de Rey.
